Wake up alarm

6 posts in this topic

Sometimes I find it hard to wake up on time in the morning if I did not set the alarm. This is mostly because I sleep late in most nights. If I fail to set my alarm I may end up going to work late which is bad reputation. Do you find yourself needing the alarm to wake you in the morning.

Yeah I always have to set my alarm on my phone to wake me up in the morning or I would be late for work. I am really not good in the mornings.

I am not a morning person therefore is very diffucult for me to get up. Although it's tough I feel it is easier when my daughter needs something, I don't even think twice to get up. I usually wake up with an alarm and sometimes I wait five minutes. What helps me is setting my alarm to an earlier time than I have to get up to get some time to stretch out.

I use my mobile phone to set alarms to wake me up.  But I am a night owl and hardly sleep at night so I got a very irregular sleeping pattern.  I know it is not at all good for health.  So even mobile alarm does not work in my case.  Most of the times I am not able to hear it due to sound sleep.  Some times even if I hear it I would just switch it off and keep on sleeping.

Now I have to buy a separate alarm with some loud noise or I have to normalize my sleeping pattern.  I think only first option is viable for me or I have to sacrifice my online life.

It depends, if I only have around 2 to 3 hours to sleep, I would be needing an alarm to wake me. but if I have 5 hours of time to sleep, I won't be needing it. It is really hard for me to wake up if I had a long day and just 2 hours to sleep. I might end up sleeping longer if I won't use an alarm.

Wake up alarm has been of great help to me.I can decide to go to bed any time in the night and still be able to catch up with morning duties. My only worry is not sleeping for enough hours many of the nights

    • Hi, Maybe this isn't the right forum for it, but I thought we'd quickly see this discussion degenerate like the housing thread did... so Bickering Room it is (unless a mod deems it worthy of another spot). There's just a couple of weeks left to buy RRSP's for the 2016 tax year. I've been doing a bit of research and am deciding between TD eSeries funds (not exactly sure which ones yet) and Tangerine's funds (Balanced Portfolio for RRSP and Equity Growth for TFSA contribution). Anyone with experience with either? Or another recommendation?
Thanks I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
