How often do you check your spam e-mail box?

12 posts in this topic

This is a really (I mean... REALLY! >:() boring job, but I do "religiously" (yes, I'm very patient ^_^) almost every day because I hate accumulating garbage in my e-mail. ^_^

And you, guys?

I also check my spam inbox on a daily basis. Beyond not wanting to clutter my email space with trash mails, I also want to check if an important email has been inadvertently classified as a spam mail. That has happened to me several times. Sometimes, some sites would also remind me to check my spam inbox.

I do check my Gmail every two days or so.  By that time it would have been flooded with spam mails.  In Gmail there is an option to mark a particular mail ID as spam and all future emails from that id would be automatically diverted to spam folder.  So, by doing that you can keep your inbox clean to some extent.  But some spammers are smart enough to override this feature and once they are identified as spam they will start sending spam contents  from another mail id.  Even my personal mail id which I have not shared anywhere else is full of spam mails.  I have no idea from where they got my email id. That is really frustrating.

I usually only check my spam folder if I'm expecting an email that hasn't arrived yet. This is usually because I signed up for a new site, and I'm waiting for the confirmation mail to get there. Sometimes, it's just slow, but sometimes they end up in the spam folder.

Otherwise, I pretty much ignore it or just empty it. So much ridiculous stuff finds it's way there. At least you can get a good laugh from some of that junk. :P

I don't have a time schedule for this. I normally delete my spam folder when I see they are becoming unnecessarily too many.

I check my spam mails every day because sometimes, a few work-related  emails do land up there so I just give a glance over to the folder and then delete whatever spam is there. i like to keep that folder clean and empty.

I actually check it on a daily basis as I always check my emails first thing in the morning. I check the spam incase an important email was sent there. It's not that difficult for me now since I really don't recieve much spam anymore. I like to have it emptied out everyday.

I never check my spam box to be honest and every time I check my emails and I see there's things in there I just hit the delete all key without even opening the folder itself. I've no doubt that occasionally I might have missed an important email that's accidentally found itself in there but when I first set up my email account I was pretty meticulous at categorising all the emails I got, so in theory when I receive emails they should drop into the right folders without me having to search through.

I check my spam folder on my email every day and I make sure to delete the spam messages. Even though I know 99 percent emails on my spam folder are useless messages, I have a habit to check spam box every day. I check my spam folder every day in a hope that I will find diamond from the coal.

I check my spam folder everytime I check my regular mail messages simply because sometimes the important ones get filtered badly, it doesn't hurt to make sure nothing was sent there for no reason. Most of the time there are only spam messages but it could be something important there someday.

I check it every time I check my e-mail. There are always some e-mails sent to me that for some reason get sent to spam even though I opted for them.
