England Football team

Where does England football team go from here? After what can only be described as the worst England performance ever.

England had the players they needed to go straight to the Semi-finals or even win Euro 2016. They did quite well in the friendlies after all even beating Germany which is the best team in this tournament. But Hart let them down. Had Hodgson picked a better goal keeper I'm sure England would have performed better.

That said, I believe that when the next manager is appointed most players in this squad will be dropped. Has Rooney announced his retirement yet? Nope. But he should.

How can you blame the England performance in the Euro's on Joe Hart alone? The whole team had a nightmare, especially the defence and we could have had the best goalkeeper in the world, and we would have still have been knocked out.

The only good thing about being knocked out then, was I dread to think what a decent team would have done to us if we had got any further. The thing is now, have a look at who the FA have appointed to take over from Hodgson, Sam Allardyce...I think it might be time to just give up supporting the England team with that appointment.

England always had great players, from Michel Owen to Wayne Rooney. However, England is poor on the field. When World Cup and Euro Cup come, England is always touted as a strong contender but soon it will leave the fans in tears.

Well I guess now we'll never know seeing as he's had to resign for 'activities' he's been up to. I was never a fan of Sam taking over anyway, but the decision was made and so we should support him but after recent revelations I don't think he had any choice but to resign and it just shows how far away from the real world these people are.

He was being paid £3 million a season and yet tried to make an extra £400,000 on the side. What's wrong with these people? Most people would give anything to manage their national team, and he get's his so called dream job, and then get's caught saying he can advise potential investors on how to dodge the rules all for the sake of making a little extra money that he doesn't even need. I can't get my head around it to be honest, but if that IS the kind of person he is (and it's not the first time he's been investigated), the the England team is better off without him.

I've always wondered why England never lived up to their potential. Players like Gerrard, Ferdinand and Rooney in their prime were amazing to watch, but the "spine" of the team always suffered. They never got the manager they needed to make them work as a well-oiled machine, they always put their bets on individual talent.
